Invisalign® Treatment Albury

Straighten your teeth an achieve a more confident smile with Invisalign® clear aligners prepared for you in Albury Wodonga.

Riverina Dental Albury provides customised Invisalign® treatment that offers a fast, cost-effective way to straighten your teeth without the need for invasive, traditional braces. Designed to correct common orthodontic concerns including teeth straightening, teeth gaps, and misaligned teeth, Invisalign® is a safe and effective way to straighten your teeth and achieve a healthy, confident smile.

Your Invisalign® clear aligner treatment will include customised, removable clear aligners that are designed to be worn for 20 to 22 hours each day. You’ll typically wear one set of Invisalign® clear aligners for a prescribed period before moving onto the next one as your teeth begin to shift position.

Following your Invisalign® clear aligner treatment, you’ll receive a nighttime retainer that helps to maintain long-term results and prevent teeth from reverting back into their previous position.

How Invisalign® Treatment Works

Invisalign treatment gradually straightens teeth by applying gentle pressure across a series of clear aligner trays. Invisalign clear aligners are custom designed to your teeth, with small differences in alignment for each tray. Each aligner is worn for 1-2 weeks, during which your teeth are gradually moved to fit the worn set before switching to a new tray.

Clear aligners must be worn for at least 22 hours a day – you will only remove them to eat, drink, or brush your teeth. Your dentist may also arrange for follow-up appointment to check on the progress of treatment and make any adjustments if necessary.

Frequently Asked Questions

How long does Invisalign® treatment take?

Invisalign® treatment takes 6-24 months to complete, 12 months for mild to moderate cases and longer for more severe cases.

Our dentists will give you an estimate at your consultation of how long Invisalign® treatment will take based on your teeth’s condition.

What orthodontic conditions can Invisalign® treat?

Invisalign treatment can treat mild to moderate teeth misalignment issues such as dental crowding, gaps in teeth, overbites, and underbites. More severe cases of crooked teeth or jaw alignment issues require other orthodontic treatment, such as braces.

Is Invisalign® treatment painful?

No, Invisalign® is not painful. Patients may experience some tightness that can cause mild discomfort in the gums, but only for the first day or two of wearing a new set of clear aligners.

Are there any food restrictions during Invisalign treatment?

No, you’ll be able to eat whatever you like without any risk of affecting the treatment. Unlike braces treatment, where patients need to avoid certain foods that can get stuck in brackets or damage the wires, Invisalign treatment allows you to eat normally after taking the clear aligners off. Just remember to clean your teeth thoroughly before putting the clear aligners back on.
